Scientists use different kinds of investigations depending on the questions they are trying to answer. Simple instruments, such as magnifiers, thermometers, and rulers, provide more information than scientists obtain using only their senses. Physical Science Objects have observable properties that can be described and measured using tools, such as rulers, balances, and thermometers. National Math Standards Compute fluently and make reasonable estimates. Understand measurable attributes of objects and the units, systems, and processes of measurement.
