The cranes at Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge live on a remote island. We ride an airboat to the island. This is biologist Dr. Richard Urbanek, who will put leg bands on each young crane. The airboat ride is about 8 minutes long, and always exciting. Porpoises sometimes come close to the boat to play in the wake.
